About

I’m Dimitri, and I promise to guide you on unforgettable Meteora experiences that go beyond your imagination.

My ancestors moved to Kalabaka in 1885 from a distant mountain village, leaving their mark on the history of this place. I spent part of my childhood with my grandparents, playing in the village and exploring the rocks. In 2013, I moved here permanently to deepen my connection with the local nature, enrich my understanding of my roots, and tap into the magical energy of this landscape.

My passion is to help people discover Meteora through the same lens that has inspired me—feeling the sacred energy of the rocks, the beauty of the wilderness, and the rich history that surrounds us. I strive to create the most suitable experiences for each visitor, ensuring they walk away with a deep, lasting impression.

I’m an experienced hiker with certified first aid knowledge, a physical education teacher specialized in outdoor activities, and a massage therapist. My deepest interests lie in wellness, nature, mindfulness, human and animal rights, history, medicinal plants, healthy food, and a holistic, balanced lifestyle.

I’m also a dedicated husband and father to two little female miracles, who fill my life with love and purpose every day

Photos of my great-grandfather, Barba-Thanasis Takos, also known by his nickname “Kontogoulas,” who proudly wore the local traditional attire until the end of his life, refusing to adopt “European-style” clothing. He was one of the finest stone builders of the area, seen here standing on the spring’s ledge of Sopoto, in one of the oldest neighborhoods of Kalabaka, along with his construction crew at the foundation of a house. As the master builder, he is surrounded by my grandfather Giorgos Koromplitsas (his son-in-law), Giorgos Theodorou, and other craftsmen.
